Alltime Removals has been protecting furniture on every move since 2002. AIM-accredited and MoveAssured approved, we use Defenda Guard covers purpose-built for us, so the corners that catch on doorframes stay covered all the way to your new property. Wrapping sofas, mattresses and wardrobes before they leave the property keeps them clean and reduces the risk of marks, scuffs or rips in transit.
The covers work alongside careful handling and proper packing throughout the whole job, from a small flat clearance to a full home or office relocation.
If you are organising a domestic move, an office move or a business relocation, the protection plan is the same. We treat your furniture the way we would treat our own.
We use covers and wraps on the items most likely to pick up damage between the front door and the van:
Sofas and armchairs (fitted fabric covers to keep upholstery clean)
Mattresses (sealed mattress bags to keep them dry and free of dust)
Tables and dining sets (padded covers and corner protection)
Wardrobes, chests and dressers (full-body wraps)
TVs, mirrors and framed art (custom-fit covers with extra padding)
Office desks, pedestals and filing cabinets (covers for commercial moves)
If something needs more than a standard wrap, your adviser will flag it during the survey so there are no surprises on the day.
A move involves doorways, stairs, lifts, kerbs and ramps. Without proper covers, soft furniture rubs against frames and walls, and hard furniture catches on edges. Covers help in four practical ways:
They reduce marks, scuffs and dents during loading and unloading
They protect items in transit from straps, road vibration and other items in the van
They keep upholstery and mattresses clean, so nothing arrives smelling of the lorry
The wrapping is done before loading starts, so nothing is exposed in transit
The cost of replacing a damaged sofa or wardrobe is far higher than the time it takes to wrap it properly. We treat protection as part of the job, not an extra.
Protective covers are one piece of a wider process. On a typical move our team will also pack breakables, dismantle the items that need it, load with the heaviest pieces first and use straps to keep everything still in the van. The Defenda Guard covers stay on until items are placed in the new property.
If you are using our packing service, the covers and packing materials are organised and brought to site by the same team, so nothing has to be sourced separately.

Yes. Mattresses go into sealed mattress bags so they stay clean and dry. Sofas and armchairs are wrapped in fitted fabric covers, with extra padding on corners and feet where needed.
