Alltime Removals is based at Unit 1, Nimbus Park, Porz Avenue, Houghton Regis, LU5 5WZ, about 20 miles south of Bedford on the A6. We do not have a Bedford branch and we will not imply one. What we do have is crews that cover Bedford regularly, an adviser who visits your property before we quote, and a plan built around the access conditions in your street.

Castle Road and the surrounding Victorian terraces in MK40 are among the tightest areas for a large removal van. Carriageways are narrow, drives are rare, and on-street parking means the loading position has to be agreed before the crew arrives. A parking suspension arranged a few working days ahead with Bedford Borough Council makes the difference between a clean start and an hour of repositioning. Queens Park and the residential streets across MK40 and MK42 are similarly pressured. Kempston has a mix of older terraces and semis: access is generally a little easier, but school-run windows on the main routes slow reversing into tight spots.
Town-centre flat blocks near Riverside and Bedford Station sit in a different bracket. Communal lifts need booking with the building manager, often the working day before the move. Corridor carry distances can be longer than they look on the floor plan, and station-side loading bays see regular footfall from early morning. Newer estates at Wixams and Shortstown are, by contrast, straightforward. Roads are wider, drives are more common, and parking pressure is lower, so these moves tend to load faster.
Our packing service scales from a breakables-only pack of china and pictures up to a full pack, unpack, and packing-material disposal, carried out by the same crew doing your move. We supply boxes, tea chests, bubble wrap, tape, and wardrobe boxes. You decide how much of the packing you want us to handle.
If your moving dates do not align, or you need to clear a property before the new one is ready, our storage units at Nimbus Park are available for short or long-term rental, priced by cubic foot, with 24-hour access seven days a week. Every unit is individually alarmed, and Bedford to our depot is a straightforward run down the A6.

We do not publish fixed prices, because a two-bedroom flat on Riverside with a communal lift and 60 metres of corridor carry is a different job from a two-bedroom terrace on Castle Road with a loading-bay suspension, and we do not claim to be the cheapest. What we can confirm is that the written quote you receive after the free survey is the price you pay, with no add-ons on the day for access issues we already knew about.
