Our storage sits at Unit 1, Nimbus Park, Porz Avenue, Houghton Regis, on the same site our removals crews work from. Because we own and run it ourselves, we can switch a straight move into a move-and-store at short notice, without bringing in another company.
Every unit is individually alarmed and dedicated to one customer, so your belongings never share space with anyone else’s. Access is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Your adviser takes a room-by-room inventory, works out the cubic footage, and includes the storage figure in the same written quote as the move, so you see the full cost before you commit. If you would rather get a sense of it first, a rough rule is that the fewer and smaller the items, the fewer cubic feet, but the accurate figure always comes from the inventory. The most common reason a removals customer needs storage is a completion delay. Your sale goes through, the buyer of your old home is ready, but the property you are buying is not yet available. Your belongings need somewhere safe to go for a few days or a few weeks.
This is exactly what our storage is set up for. The crew loads your old home on completion day and delivers to our Nimbus Park units rather than to an address that is not ready. Your belongings go into a dedicated alarmed unit, and we deliver them to your new home the moment keys are released. Because the removal and the storage are booked together in one quote, a slipped date does not mean scrambling for a separate storage supplier at short notice. It is the reason we hold house move storage as a standard part of the service rather than an afterthought.
Items going into storage are wrapped in bespoke Defenda Guard protective covers before they go into the unit, the same covers we use on move day. Each unit is individually alarmed, and the depot has 24-hour access, seven days a week. Storage is available short or long term with no fixed minimum, so a few days during a chain delay and a longer arrangement of several months are both straightforward.
We carry goods-in-transit and public liability insurance across the move, and your adviser will confirm the cover for the storage portion of your job at the survey stage. As a family firm accredited with AIM, MoveAssured and the RHA, the same standards that apply to the move apply to the store.
The Nimbus Park facility serves customers moving across Bedfordshire and the surrounding counties. It is a short drive from Houghton Regis, Dunstable and Luton, and within easy reach for moves further out. Customers moving into or out of Buckinghamshire can also combine storage with a move through our removals and storage in Milton Keynes. Wherever the move runs, the storage is held in the same secure units at Houghton Regis.
